Series Review: A Court of Thorns and Roses – A series that changed the YA genre

It’s not often that I find myself struggling to find the words to describe a book. Often I can just bada-bing-bada-boom and come up with a review. Even when I first read this series I couldn’t quite put into words what I felt because I’d first read Throne of Glass, and ACOTAR was a whole different species. ACOTAR was the first Young Adult series that I questioned for being YA. It seemed to be Adult, but at the same time, the age of the characters belonged in YA. It was dark, gritty, and had sex scenes that I hadn’t even read in any Adult book. So how do we decide…

Series Review: Caraval – A wet noodle of a magic series

I’ve recently decided to take some trips down memory lane and revamp my reviews and post them on my blog rather than have them sit on Goodreads. Caraval is one of those. I really had a hard time reading this series, and I feel bad because so many people seemed to love it. I stuck with it because I was hoping Tessa’s point of view in Legendary would sway my opinion, but it didn’t change much. My video below also gives my opinion on the Caraval series along with some other books such as Serpent & Dove and Midnight Sun, which hopefully I’ll have reviews up for on my blog…

Originally, I was going to write about all of the Throne of Glass books. Realistically, however, it’s been so long since I’ve read them that I cannot give an honest review from the heart—but that’s okay. I have an overall review here based on Kingdom of Ash that should tie up my feelings into a nice bow. Aelin Galathynius gave herself up to Maeve for her…
